jobs bartending Bartender Tips

Lots of people want to get a bartending job but don't know how to go about doing it. Being a bartender does involvemany responsibilities.

To be a bartender, you have to posses a few qualities that frankly many of us don't really have. Employers often use the no experience reason for not hiring as a polite way to end the conversation. It will not all be fun and games, every good thing has a few bad things to go along with it at times.

You learn how to operate the bar equipment, and there are even courses in ordering supplies, inventory control and profit margins. Flair is the most difficult technique in bartending, but it is also the most entertaining. A Sling is served either hot or cold and is a tall drink made of soda water, sugar, a little lemon juice and either whiskey, gin, or brandy.

You are in the business of not only selling drinks but of selling yourself as well. Remember, a bartender is a salesman.
