Bartending is an awesome career to get into or just a good, fun job to have for some extra income. For a lot of people who think that they can do a bartenders job no problem and join a bartender school expecting it to be easy work, think again.
Many times, when people think about a bartender, their first thought is either someone like on Cheers, friendly, fun and someone that loves to chit chat with customers, or they might think of a really, hot chick or guy bartender, what a nice thought that is. There isn t a maximum age for tending bar. A student of mine became a bartender and doubled his take home income, with no previous bartending experience.
You can always arrange your alcohol and drinks a certain way, to ensure that you know where everything is. Whatever you do, don't shake a drink with carbonation. Each mixing station should contain the base spirits which are Vodka, Tequila, Gin and Rum.
Finally you should always make sure your customers are having fun and enjoy spending their time in your bar. Your tips will skyrocket so get bartending.
