When choosing independent vocational or trade schools to gain a bartending education, you should look for credentials and long term affiliations. It is really hard on a person when they think they have it all figured out, as far as what their job requirements would be with a job, then once they begin, they realize they really had no idea what all their job would actually require of them, it can really be a let down when that happens.
I realize that for some people the state of the economy can directly effect their income. Make sure that after blending or shaking a drink, you remove the contents immediately into the appropriate glass. This means knowing the safe guidelines for serving drinks to the various customers.
