Bartending can get hectic when people are crushed up against the bar trying to place their orders and the wait stations are filled with waiters and waitresses trying to place their orders. When the economy isn't doing well, bar business can actually go up.
If you are managing a bar and considering doing some hiring, you should probably just keep in mind that the bartender that you choose to hire for your business, will strictly be based on professionalism, skills behind the bar and experience preferred but not necessary and you should not base it on whether or not they are male or female. If the bar tender believes the patron is becoming too inebriated, some feel it is the bar tender s responsibility to stop serving alcohol to that person. The bartender must know his way in, out and around his bar to avoid confusion and to save time and energy especially when he is catering to a party of a thousand people.
Everyone loves getting drinks from someone that is kind to the eyes. Bartending offers a rewarding and profitable career for those that are serious about their pursuit. The students learn the fine art of bartending behind a bar.
No matter which way you go, bartending will be a lot of fun and will take you far in life as an exciting career. Bartending requires that you put your personality on display and you must do this in the interview.
